The growth of elm yellow mushroom is strong, mushrooms are produced quickly, the growth period is short, and the yield is high. It can be cultivated in logs or substitute materials. The yield of elm yellow mushroom cultivated with cottonseed hulls, waste cotton and corn cobs is relatively high. Growth environment requirements:
1. Nutrition
Elm yellow is a saprophytic fungus. Generally speaking, the biological rate of single raw material cultivation is low, and mixed materials are mostly used for cultivation. Adding an appropriate amount of wheat bran or rice bran, bean cake to the culture medium can improve nitrogen nutrition and increase yield. The carbon-nitrogen ratio of elm yellow mushroom is different at different growth stages. In the mycelium growth stage, the required carbon-nitrogen ratio is about 20:1. In the reproductive stage, that is, the fruiting body differentiation stage, the required carbon-nitrogen ratio is (30~40):1.
2. Temperature
Elm yellow mushroom belongs to the mesophilic constant temperature fruiting fungus. The mycelium growth temperature is 7~32℃, and the optimum temperature is 20~25℃. The temperature for fruiting body growth and development is 17~28℃, and the optimum temperature is 18~23℃. When the temperature difference between day and night is 10℃, the differentiation of fruiting body is accelerated and the yield can be increased.
3. Water and humidity
Elm yellow is a hygrophilous fungus. The requirements for water are different in different growth stages. The optimum water content of the mycelium growth matrix is 62%~65%. The relative humidity of the air during mycelium growth is 60%~70%. More water is required in the fruiting body development stage, and it is more suitable to keep the relative humidity of the air at 85%~90%.
4. Air
Elm yellow mushroom is an aerobic fungus and is also sensitive to carbon dioxide. Sufficient oxygen is required in both the mycelium growth and development stage and the fruiting body differentiation stage. In the fruiting body differentiation stage, the demand for oxygen is slightly reduced, but after the fruiting body is formed, due to vigorous metabolism, the vitality of the fruiting body is increased, the respiration is strengthened, and the demand for air is greatly increased. Therefore, in the mushroom fruiting stage, the culture room should be kept in a well-ventilated environment. In the mycelium growth stage, the carbon dioxide concentration is controlled below 0.5%, and the mycelium grows normally.
5. Light
Pleurotus citrinopileatus is a light-loving fungus. It can grow completely in the dark during the mycelium growth stage, but requires appropriate scattered light during the fruiting stage. Scattered light is required during the fruiting body differentiation and growth period, and the light intensity is required to be above 200lx.
6. pH
Pleurotus citrinopileatus is an acid-loving fungus. The pH for mycelium growth is 5~7, and the optimal pH is 5.5~6.0. When mixing the ingredients, adjust the pH to 8.0~8.5.
