Coprinus comatus is a precious fungus with both edible and medicinal value. It can be cultivated in various ways, including clinker cultivation, fermented feed cultivation and raw feed cultivation. It can be cultivated in bags or on shelves.

The key requirements for its growth environment are as follows:

1.Nutrition
Coprinus comatus has strong growth adaptability, and a wide range of cultivation raw materials can be used, such as straw, corn cobs, etc., and is supplemented by wheat bran, livestock and poultry manure, etc. to provide sufficient nutrition. It is worth noting that vitamin B1 has a significant promoting effect on its growth.

2. Temperature
The optimum temperature for mycelial growth is 21~28℃, while fruiting body differentiation requires a temperature difference of 5~10℃, and the optimum temperature is 10~20℃. Too high or too low temperature will affect its normal growth.

3.Humidity
The moisture content of the culture material needs to be maintained at 60%~70%, the relative air humidity during the germination period is about 80%, and it needs to be increased to 85%~90% when the fruiting bodies occur.

4.Lighting
The mycelial growth stage does not require light, but the differentiation of fruiting bodies requires scattered light stimulation. The optimal illumination is 60~500lx.

5. Air
Coprinus comatus needs a lot of fresh air during its growth. Poor ventilation will lead to growth stunting and reduced yield and quality.

6. PH Value
The optimum pH value for mycelium growth is 6.5-7.5. During production, the pH value of culture medium and covering soil is often adjusted to 8.0-9.0 to prevent the pH value from decreasing.

7. Soil Covering
As a soil-dwelling fungus, soil covering is a necessary condition for the growth of Coprinus comatus, which requires strong water-holding capacity and good aeration.
